About Genie

I am a Registered Nurse with over 12 years of experience in the med/surg, perioperative, oncology, endoscopy, and community health settings.

Before I became an RN, I worked as a staff writer for a local magazine. In 2017, I combined the two skills and began my career as a healthcare writer.

I am especially skilled at using appropriate voice and messaging, performing evidence-based research, and following health literacy guidelines. My portfolio contains a diverse collection, including B2B, B2C, technical, patient education, and a range of other writing samples.
